Viridian Furniture: Cosmetic Standards, Warranty, & Returns
Before Placing Your Order
At Viridian Furniture, we are proud to create one-of-a-kind furniture using solid wood, crafted by hand and finished with care. Because our furniture is handmade and built from real wood, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. We embrace these natural variations and imperfections—they are what make each piece special and uniquely yours.
Before placing your order, please review these following standards to better understand what to expect:
Wood & Stain Variations
Every piece of wood has a distinct grain pattern and tone, so differences in color and grain are normal and should be anticipated. These inherent traits mean no stain will appear exactly the same from one piece to the next, even when the same color is used.
Stain Matching
We do not match stain colors based solely on photos. If you want a specific stain, you must supply both the stain and the species of wood it is intended for. Keep in mind that grain patterns and wood species influence how a stain looks, so exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
Knots & Cracks
Real hardwood lumber frequently features knots, checks, cracks, etc. We fill all of these with black epoxy. This allows us to achieve a smooth surface and structurally reinforces the furniture.
General Variations in Furniture
Handcrafted furniture naturally possesses character—such as small marks, texture changes, and other unique traits that contribute to its charm. Because of the handmade process dimensions may vary slightly (up to approximately 1 inch).
Solid Wood Movement
Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts in response to changes in temperature and humidity. This may lead to small gaps in tabletops or slight shifting over time. These changes are a normal characteristic of solid wood furniture and do not compromise structural integrity.
We appreciate the unique look and feel of authentic, handcrafted wood furniture—if this aesthetic is not what you seek, Viridian Furniture may not be your best option!
Lead Times
Lead times provided are estimates only. While we strive to adhere to timelines, high demand or production delays may result in orders arriving sooner or later than expected. We always prioritize quality over speed and cannot promise exact delivery dates. If you are ordering for a specific deadline or event, please plan accordingly.
