Meet Alex Audia: The Man Behind Viridian Furniture

Hi! I’m Alex the owner of Viridian Furniture. My woodworking journey actually started back in 2019 with a borrowed handsaw, a drill, and some 2x4s. I built myself a workbench that ended up leaning more than the Tower of Pisa, but I was so proud of it.

Fast forward through years of mistakes, late nights, and refining my craft, and that passion just kept growing. Eventually, I fell completely in love with building dining tables.

To me, a dining table is so much more than just a piece of furniture. It’s the heart of the home. It’s where families gather, share stories, and create memories. Some of my own favorite moments revolve around a table surrounded by loved ones, and that’s exactly what inspires every single piece I build.

I got tired of seeing mass-produced furniture made from cheap materials that aren't built to last. That’s why at Viridian, I focus on high quality hardwoods and meticulous craftsmanship. My favorite part of the entire process is spraying that final coat of lacquer, watching the natural grain of the wood pop is the moment I know a table is ready to withstand generations of family gatherings.
